when xp is installing oracle 10.1 display a error ORA-01034
windows xp:memory 1.7G

See the assistant log, database is not started at this point.

Services related to oracle have been open from the windows service except for a service called schedule job.
please,how should i do?

where is the assistant log file?is it the file called alert_*.log?

No, it is this file.
The assistant told you which log file it will write.
Yo can also have a look at the alert.log file to see any database error during assistant execution but this is not the main entry point.

oh,i uninstalled the oracle, then cleared the windows registry about Oracle.

after resetted my computer,i re-installed the oracle,that were successful.

i think the reason it failed is the shortage of SGA required.

because when i was installing the soft,the computer was running many other applications.

Do you agree,Machel?

Maybe yes, maybe no; the alert.log file should tell you if this is the case.
