Hi All,

I am facing a problem while installing Oracle11gR2 in my laptop having windows 7 basic edition. Initially i reached till step 16 which is "Prerequisite check" after giving the schema password . But then suddenly the installer got exited. After that when i again tried to run the installer at the 3rd stage of installation when i am clicking the next button the installer is getting exited.

Please tell me how can i resolve this issue and get oracle 11gR2 installed in my laptop.

what clues exist in installer log file?

According to Windows 7 editions, it appears that yours is, actually, "Windows 7 Home Basic" edition. If that's so, bad news for you: Oracle is not certified with any HOME Windows edition. You need to upgrade your operating system.
