Hi,

I heard that USERS tablespace should not contain any other application schema objects.

If the above statements is true , can somebody explain why it should not contain other schema objects ?

Thank you

You should use USERS tablespace because it is a tablespace for Oracle example schemas.
Create your own tablespaces (and drop USERS one in all databases but learning ones).

Michel,

I understood something about USERS tablespace but not fully like

1.Would there be any impact to database/application if we create other schema objects
in USERS tablespace?

2.Is it still necessary to move the schema objects to other tablespace if it exist
in USERS tablespace?

I am looking for the answer in detail.

Thank you

1. What will happen if Oracle decides to change the way USERS tablespace is managed? or even to drop it?
2. This is my opinion, see 1.

Regards
Michel

I would go for a less technical reason for not using USERS. I see the USERS tablespace in many client databases, and I always assume that it is just a bit of scratch storage in which I (or anyone else) can do what they like, and that it doesn't get any proper monitoring or management.
So I would say that if you don't use it that way, drop it.
