Hi,
MS SQL has a scenario, when you bring data and log file from another server to yours server you can just attach those files and you have new ms sql database in work progress?
Does this scenario is possible on oracle, or can I bring database backup from another server to my server (for develop & testing for example) and to keep another databases?

Hi BlackSwan,
is it mean that if I have oraA database on my develop server and I restore oraB database and after that I have both database, of cource under same direcory like it is on original server from wich oraB database was backuped?

You cannot mix upi files from different databases in one.
You can have 2 databases on 1 server.
Now what you want is not clear.
