Hi All,

Need some clarification on the Manual DB creation:

1) Do we need to create the folder %oracle_home%\database in capital letter as "%ORACLE_HOME%", when i created with small letter it shows error in further stage.

2) Do we need to fire the below command after the DB creation by manually.
CREATE SPFILE FROM PFILE;

3) I forgot to do the step2 as mentioned above, now once i relogin to the DB, the pfile it searching in different folder.
What is the solution for this?

Regards:
Muktha

You do realise that %oracle_home% is an environment variable don't you? It points to a directory, but it isn't one.
