Hi All,

Need an idea about the below question:

While creating a Manual DB creation, syntax as below:
%ORACLE_HOME%\DATABASE\initprag.ora which will have a seperate file as below:
ifile=c:\pragat\pfile\initprag.ora

Questions:
---------
1) Why we need to divert the pfile into another location?
2) Can we keep the pfile inside the location - %ORACLE_HOME%\DATABASE?

Regards:
Muktha

1) You don't have to but you can
2) Yes but anyway you should use a spfile and NOT a pfile after db creation.

Regards
Michel
