Hi ,
I wanted to know the checkpoint information and the interval of checkpoint for my instance.
I have checked alert.log file for the same.
Is there is any other way or any view exists to get that information?
Please help...

The last checkpoint for the database is in v$database and the last for a particular file in v$datafile_header. Besides that, I'm not aware of any.
PS: If you really must, you can always read the alert log via an external table.

1. You can configure LOG_CHECKPOINTS_TO_ALERT
2. You can query V$SYSSTAT for the statistics 'background checkpoints started' and 'background checkpoints completed'.
You can only monitor background checkpoints -- those that are initiated at log switches.
Also, since 8i, Oracle has implemented incremental checkpoints (e.g. driven by FAST_START_MTTR_TARGET). Therefore, the "full" checkpoint at a log switch isn't necessarily large.
