Hi, we are new to ASM storage.
In 10g and above, with normal fize system ,we used to have multiple files for each tablespaces, with same size.
eg :Tablespace USERS
Users1.dbf 4gb
Users2.dbf 4gb
Users3.dbf 4gb etc...

What is the best option, with an ASM storage.Create a sigle file of 12GB or use multiple files ? Thanks

Use single file and let ASM manages the "physical" layer.

What was the purpose before?
Why were you using multiple file for each tablespace instead of one datafile?

Not with ASM, a file does not mean a single disk (unless you only have one physical disk).
