Hi how to know how many databases running in my oracle....

ALWAYS
Post Operating System (OS) name & version for DB server system.
Post results of
SELECT * from v$version
or post Oracle version to 4 decimal places

k in windows xp 32 bit os, Oracle 10.1.0, How to know how many databases are running in my Oracle as sysdba

When you are connected, you are connected to 1 database.
Please clarify your question and in first:
- what is a database for you
- from where (which program, DOS level, Windows level) do you want to get this information

In My Oracle server I have few instances. I am not connected to any Instance I want to know how many instances available in my host.
So how can I know this. In nomount stage.

If you are not connected, the database status is irrelevant.

Open Services box and see all the OracleService<SID> services.
