I already succeded to setyup Oracle 10 G on my machine

when trying to connect by system/system it does not connect.


The listener is OK and instance ok


What is the problem????


This is me first time to setup oracle on windows 7

Two problems. The first one is that you have it. Another one is on our side, because we have no idea what you did and how Oracle responded. So - unless you provide some more information, you'll have to wait for someone with a crystal ball.

I tried to make my car go, but it does not go.
What is the problem????

By the way, only Oracle V11.2 is certified on Windows 7.

Try system/manager instead but as other said this depends on your actual error message because "it does not connect" is not an Oracle one.

No sir.

I am sure from what I am doing.

I changed the system password at installation time to "system"

I connect using system/system@,,,..

also by sys/sys as sysdba

Ther is no response at all, and no error message appeared.


I installed oracle several times ago, but this is my first time with windows 7.


what is the problem with windows 7?

Being able to install it doesn't guarantee that he'll be able to use it. Actually, Oracle can't guarantee as this combination is not certified. You know, certified.
