I already did the uninstall but still am facing so many errors, don't know what exactly the issue is.

I have both server and client. should I remove both. The client is just a directory.

De-install both. You don't need the client on the same server anyway. Then re-install Oracle 11 XE as per the instructions. Once installed run the Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) to create a new database.
