Hi experts,

I really wanted to understand the concepts of cloning in oracle 11g, as i understand it is meant for creating duplicate for original database. But my query is after creating this duplicate database, if any changes happened in original database will it be reflected in duplicate database as well.

A database clone is a snapshot of what the original database looked like at the time of the clone. Until we get into some serious quantum computing, subsequent changes in the original database will not propagate to the clone.

As Blackswan intimates, you're probably thinking of a stand-by database.
